Built by hosts, for hosts.

A small team in Lahore that got tired of stitching billing portals to WordPress sites — so we built the thing we wished existed.

The story

A side project that refused to stay small.

In 2019 we were running iTechtics — a WordPress publication and a tiny shared-hosting business on the side. Two products, two stacks. The publication ran on WordPress + WooCommerce and felt like a single coherent app. The hosting business ran on a separate billing portal bolted to the marketing site by a fragile SSO bridge. Two logins. Two themes. Two bills.

The breaking point was a Friday outage. A customer couldn’t reach support because the bridge between billing and the WP site had quietly drifted out of sync — their account existed in one system and not the other. We spent the weekend fixing it by hand. The problem wasn’t the billing app. The problem was that we had a billing app at all.

So we asked: what if hosting management lived inside WordPress? One database. One login. WooCommerce already does subscriptions, payments, taxes, and a customer account area. WHM already does provisioning. The piece missing was the glue — and the glue could be a plugin, not a parallel application.

The first version of HostKit shipped in 2020 to about a dozen friends running small hosting shops in Pakistan and India. By 2022 it was running real businesses. Today it powers 2,400+ subscriptions across 7 countries, and we still ship every two weeks.

We’re a team of four. We answer our own support email. We don’t take VC money. We charge a fair price — $49 a year or $149 once — and we keep the source open under GPLv2 because that’s what we’d want if we were buying it.

If you’re a host trying to run a real business on WordPress, we built this for you. If you find a bug, you can read the code that caused it. If you want a feature, the person reading your message is the same person who’ll write it.

Support SLA

Promises you can hold us to.

No tiers, no support tokens, no upsells to "priority". One inbox. Real engineers reply. Here's the contract.
P1 — Site down
< 2h
first response, 24/7
Provisioning broken. Billing failing. Customers can't sign up. Email urgent@ and we page on-call.
P2 — Degraded
< 8h
business hours · Mon–Fri
Feature broken but workable. Email problems. UI bugs that block one customer at a time.
P3 — Question / nice-to-have
< 24h
business days
"How do I configure X?" "Could you add Y?" Real answers, not boilerplate, often the same day.
What "first response" means
A real human reading your ticket and replying with either a fix, a workaround, or a clear next step — not "we got your email."
If we miss it
Email the founder directly: [email protected]. We'll make it right and review what broke.
How we work

Four rules we won't break.

01
Source stays open.
GPLv2. Read it, fork it, host the code yourself if we ever disappear. Your business shouldn't be hostage to ours.
02
Pricing stays honest.
No usage tiers. No "contact sales". The price on the pricing page is the price you pay.
03
Support stays human.
No bot first-response. The first reply is from someone who can read the source and write the fix.
04
Ship every two weeks.
Public changelog, dated. If we slip a window, it's announced — not buried.
